The Challenge

Student success extends beyond reaching the next academic or professional milestone.

Students must develop the self-awareness, direction, and strategies to continuously grow as expectations, environments, and opportunities change.

The opportunity was to create a development experience that moved beyond inspiration—giving students practical ways to connect who they are and what matters to them with how they grow and the impact they can make.

Purpose
Students explored the connection between personal purpose, individual strengths, and the direction they want to pursue.

Sustainable Growth
Participants examined practical strategies for creating growth that can continue beyond a single workshop, milestone, or moment of motivation.

Intentional Action
Activities challenged students to apply development principles in real time—turning reflection and conversation into decisions and actionable next steps.

Rooted In Purpose — Ready For Impact

A central theme of the experience was Rooted in Purpose — Ready for Impact. We challenged students to think beyond identifying their purpose and take the next steps to own their academic and campus experience.

Students explored how purpose becomes more meaningful when paired with intentional development and action: understanding what drives them, continuously developing themselves, and positioning those strengths to create value for others.

KYP's core development principles remained consistent, but the experience was intentionally shaped around the realities and aspirations of the students in the room.

Workshop-style learning created space to reflect, engage, practice, and apply—helping move development from something students hear to something they can use.
